If you are coming to Chepo by car take the Interamerican Highway heading west out of Panama City. About ten kilometers past the town of Divisa you will find the turn off for Ocú on the left. The turn off is approximately 220 kilometers from Panama City. Continue through the town of Ocú to Las Minas. In Las Minas, the road to Chepo is not marked. You will have to ask the way to Chepo. Once on the correct road, Chepo is about 20 km away.
You can also get to Chepo by bus. Buses leave from the terminal in Chitré every thirty minutes. The trip to Las Minas takes about an hour and 15 minutes. Buses from Santiago to Las Minas leave every 40 minutes from the terminal in Santiago. Once you are in Las Minas, you can take a transport to Chepo. Just ask at the mini-super when the next one leaves. They start at 6:30 am and run every hour and a half. They usually run until 4pm, but to be safe you should try for the 2:30 pm departure.
